Begin your adventure from the peaceful Minapin village. The trail winds through lush meadows and alpine forests, gradually gaining elevation. After 4–5 hours of trekking, you’ll arrive at Hapakun (2,800m) where your first night will be spent camping amidst nature.
Today’s journey leads to Tagaphari (3,500m) — the base camp of Rakaposhi. Enjoy breathtaking views of Rakaposhi and Diran Peak as you traverse open grasslands and glacial terrain. Camp overnight with the giants of the Karakoram as your backdrop.
Descend briefly to reach Diran Base Camp, crossing icy paths and glacial crossings. From there, continue your ascent to the breathtaking Kacheli Lake (3,870m), a pristine turquoise lake tucked away from the usual trekking routes. Set up camp by the lake and unwind under the stars.
Descend through alpine forests and rugged trails toward Khuwat viewpoint (3,300m). Enjoy expansive views of the Rakaposhi glacier one last time before hopping onto a jeep for your return journey to Hunza Karimabad.
