Travel Itinerary

Day 1 - Departure from Karachi

Start your overnight journey from Karachi via private transport. Travel through the Motorway and Expressway with rest stops along the way. It is an 18-19 hours journey hence you will arrive in Islamabad the following day to join the tour group.

Day 2 - Rest and Exploration in Islamabad

Enjoy a relaxing day in Pakistan’s capital city. After a leisurely morning, you may choose to visit iconic sites like the Faisal Mosque, depending on your energy levels.

Day 3 - Islamabad to Naran

Begin your journey early in the morning as you depart from Islamabad toward the scenic town of Naran, nestled in the Kaghan Valley. The drive takes approximately 8 hours, passing through charming towns like Abbottabad, Mansehra, and Balakot. En route, enjoy views of lush green hills, river valleys, and roadside waterfalls.

Stop for lunch and photo breaks along the way, especially near the Kunhar River. Upon reaching Naran, check in to your hotel and relax after the long drive. You can spend the evening strolling around the local bazaar or enjoying a peaceful walk along the riverbank.

Day 4 - Drive from Naran to Hunza via Babusar Pass & Karakoram Highway (Approx. 9–10 Hours – 330 km)

Start your day early as you leave Naran and ascend toward the breathtaking Babusar Pass (elevation 4,173 m), offering panoramic views of the surrounding peaks and valleys. From there, descend into Chilas and merge onto the legendary Karakoram Highway—often referred to as the Eighth Wonder of the World.

Along the route, stop at the awe-inspiring Junction Point of Three Mountain Ranges, where the Karakoram, Himalayas, and Hindukush meet—a geologic marvel unique to Pakistan. Shortly after, pause at the Nanga Parbat Viewpoint to witness the majestic 8,126m peak towering in the distance.

Upon arrival in Skardu, begin your exploration with a visit to the enchanting Shangrila Resort (Lower Kachura Lake), known for its fairytale red-roofed cottages beside a serene lake. Continue to the nearby Upper Kachura Lake, a less crowded but equally mesmerizing alpine gem surrounded by rugged cliffs.

From Raikot, switch to a thrilling 4x4 jeep ride on a narrow, rugged track leading up to Tattu Village—the starting point for the Fairy Meadows trek.

Upon arrival, embark on a 2–3 hour moderate hike through alpine forests and lush meadows to reach the magical Fairy Meadows, nestled at the base of the mighty Nanga Parbat (8,126m), the world’s ninth-highest mountain. Settle into your wooden cabin or camp, and spend the evening soaking in the stunning views of the glacier and snow-capped peaks.

Day 9 - Fairy Meadows to Naran via Babusar Pass
