Your adventure begins as you arrive at Islamabad International Airport, where our representative will greet you and transfer you to your hotel for check-in. After your journey, take time to relax and acclimate. Depending on arrival time, you may choose to take a short stroll around the capital or simply rest. Our team will provide a quick orientation about the journey ahead, including weather, gear, and terrain. Overnight stay in Islamabad prepares you for the highlands to come.
Start your day with a morning flight to Gilgit (weather dependent), offering stunning aerial views of Nanga Parbat and the Karakoram peaks. Upon arrival in Gilgit, your guide will welcome you and begin the road journey to Hunza Valley, stopping at the famous Rakaposhi Viewpoint along the Karakoram Highway. Capture incredible photos of the 7,788m Rakaposhi peak before continuing to Karimabad, the cultural heart of Hunza. Check into your hotel, unwind, and spend the evening exploring the local Karimabad Bazaar, where local crafts and warm conversations await.
Dedicate this day to exploring the cultural soul of Hunza. Begin with visits to the Baltit Fort, an 800-year-old architectural marvel perched above Karimabad, followed by Altit Fort, restored with help from the Aga Khan Trust for Culture. Wander through the ancient alleys of Altit Village, engaging with local artisans and elders. Enjoy a traditional meal or apricot tea before heading to the Duikar Viewpoint, where sunset paints Rakaposhi and Ultar Sar in brilliant hues. Return to your hotel in the evening for another peaceful night in Hunza.
Today offers two exciting options. For those eager to explore further, take a full-day road trip to Khunjerab Pass, the highest border crossing in the world between Pakistan and China. Stop at scenic valleys along the Hunza River, where yaks graze and glaciers shimmer. Alternatively, guests who prefer a more relaxed experience can explore Upper Hunza through short hikes in Ghulkin, Passu, or Gulmit, visiting local homes and experiencing the region’s Wakhi culture. Return to your hotel in Hunza by evening.
Today, journey deeper into Upper Hunza. Begin at the striking Attabad Lake, formed after a landslide in 2010. Enjoy boating or jet skiing on its turquoise waters. Continue to the famous Hussaini Suspension Bridge, known for its thrilling sway over the Hunza River. In the late afternoon, unwind beside the serene Borith Lake, a glacial body surrounded by willow trees and peaceful silence. Return to Karimabad for dinner and overnight stay.
Today, the landscape transforms dramatically as you begin your trekking adventure toward Nanga Parbat. After breakfast, drive along the Karakoram Highway to the Raikot Bridge, stopping briefly at the unique Junction Point—where the Himalayas, Karakoram, and Hindu Kush ranges converge. From Raikot, transfer to a jeep for an off-road ride through winding cliffs and pine forests to reach Tattu Village (1.5 hours). Here, begin your 6 km trek (2–3 hours) on a steady trail ascending through alpine meadows, pine forests, and rustic wooden bridges. As you arrive at Fairy Meadows, you’ll be welcomed by panoramic views of Nanga Parbat’s snow-covered north face, often glowing in the sunset. Settle into your wooden hut or tent for the night, surrounded by some of Pakistan’s most iconic natural beauty.
Rise early for a full-day trek to the legendary Nanga Parbat Base Camp, one of the most awe-inspiring and rewarding hikes in the country. The trek begins through lush Fairy Meadows, continues via Beyal Camp (3,500m), and gradually ascends through alpine terrain, boulders, and rocky ridges to the base of the world’s 9th highest peak. From the base camp, witness the massive Rupal Face of Nanga Parbat (8,126m) up close. For those not ready for a full-day hike, Beyal Camp offers a scenic, lighter alternative with excellent views. After absorbing the grandeur and silence of the mountains, return to Fairy Meadows by late afternoon for a second night under the stars.
After breakfast in the meadows, begin your descent back to Tattu Village (2–3 hours), retracing your steps through the tranquil forest path. Once at the village, board your jeep and head back to Raikot Bridge, where your private vehicle awaits. From there, continue driving to Gilgit City. After checking into your hotel, enjoy a relaxed evening exploring the Gilgit Bazaar, visiting the Gilgit Bridge, or simply recovering from your trek with local food and comfort.
Depending on weather conditions, board a morning flight from Gilgit to Islamabad, offering a final aerial view of the high mountains. Upon arrival, transfer to your hotel and then enjoy an Islamabad city tour. Highlights include the Faisal Mosque, Pakistan Monument, Lok Virsa Museum, and Centaurus Mall for shopping or souvenirs. In the evening, enjoy a farewell dinner at Monal Restaurant, perched in the Margalla Hills with a panoramic view of the capital. Overnight in Islamabad.
After breakfast, check out from your hotel and transfer to Islamabad International Airport for your onward flight. Your journey through Hunza Valley, Fairy Meadows, and Nanga Parbat Base Camp may end today—but the memories of snow-capped peaks, mountain hospitality, and wilderness serenity will stay with you forever.
